A destination like no other, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge opens its doors with a warm African welcome, creating an experience as thrilling and life affirming as it is luxurious and relaxing.
Since it was first established two decades ago, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge has built an extraordinary reputation for outstanding service and sheer pleasure. For a romantic couple looking to enjoy all this epic part of the world has to offer, there simply is no better base. The Lodge overlooks the awesome Zambezi National Park and is just four kilometres from the wondrous Victoria Falls themselves. Its waterhole serves as a continual point of fascination for guests, who love to watch buffaloes, elephants, giraffe, zebra, lions and leopards arrive to drink, rest and play.
Accommodation at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is known far and wide for its excellence. Suites are spacious with incredible views of both the site’s waterhole and the surrounding bush. There are 31 self-catering Lokuthula Lodges, which are surrounded by well-tended gardens and are built in a charming traditional style. Décor is tasteful with cheerful bursts of earthy African colour.
Victoria Falls Safari Lodge provides guests with the perfect vantage point from which to see a magnificent array of African wildlife including kudu, elephant, buffalo, crocodile, hyena, impala, water buck, and giraffe, as they congregate at the waterhole. There are also a host of extreme sports activities to try out – gorge swinging, bungee jumping and whitewater rafting to name but a few. For gentler days out, go on a guided tour, try canoeing or pack your rods for a day of fishing. You can also explore the landscape with a river cruise, take to the skies on a helicopter ride, or take your place on one of many fascinating cultural excursions.
Three great restaurants vie for your attention at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. At The Boma, traditional African delicacies like smoked crocodile and deep-fired sardines, as well as hearty dishes like grilled ostrich and sucking pig on the spit are served. Makuwa-Kuwa Restaurant is a luxurious destination overlooking the site’s watering hole and boasting an international a la carte menu. Finally there’s Buffalo Bar – your go-to when you want to relax with a cold beer and tuck into a laidback lunch.
