Love at First Sight
The Titano Suites Hotel is set in a historic building from the 17th century in the charming medieval neighbourhood of San Marino City, the capital of the tiny Republic of San Marino. San Marino covers just 24 square miles, and is surrounded by Italy. It's 17 miles inland from the popular Adriatic seaside resort of Rimini with its nine miles of sandy beaches. The building, which has been a hotel since 1894, has a handsome cloistered facade and terraces with fantastic views of the city and surrounding countryside.

This beautiful location combines the charms of the historic city with the natural beauty of the nearby Montefeltro Valley. Your Stay
The rooms and suites feature stylishly modern furnishings and are decorated with frescoes by local artists, and some have exposed timber beams. The Garibaldi Suite has a balustraded balcony, the Cesta Suite has three sets of French windows and a terrace, and the Montefeltro Suite features a terrace with panoramic views and a Jacuzzi. Private parking is available just 200 metres from the hotel.
What to Do
Step out of the hotel, and you enter a world of bygone days with many of the surrounding streets dating and buildings from medieval times. Explore the narrow alleyways and take in some of the highlights such as the imposing San Merino Cathedral with its eight Corinthian columns and the 10th-century Palazzo Publico (town hall) with its crenellated tower. Guests at the Titano Suites can use the spa facilities at sister property Grand Hotel San Marino, just a few steps away. The spa offers a comprehensive range of beauty treatments, relaxation therapies and massages.
The Food of Love
Caffè Titano, owned by the same group as the Titano Suites, is a three-minute walk away and offers Italian specialities at lunch time. La Terrazza Ristorante, another Titano group business, is also close by. It offers homemade pastas and breads from its own bakery, and a menu of traditional, regional dishes. The restaurant features picture windows with stunning countryside views as well as a terrace for al fresco dining.
