Love at First Sight
Set on Bermuda, about 10 kilometres west of the island's capital Hamilton, the Reefs Resort enjoys a spectacular location overlooking a secluded bay with a pinkish sandy beach fringed by dramatic, rocky outcroppings. The resort sits at the head of the bay and has stunning views across the sea. Beautifully kept gardens with palm trees surround the property which has a mixture of rooms and suites
Romance
Bermuda's famously agreeable climate, combined with an azure sea and stunning sunsets, will put you in the mood for romance, and the resort does a great job of maximising this by offering a Romance Package. This five-day break includes champagne and chocolate covered strawberries on arrival, a 60-minute massage for each guest and a surprise gift. The resort also specialises in weddings with dedicated planners available to help you plan your big day
Your Stay
Set on the cliff above the bay, the 62 guestrooms, suites and cottages have contemporary decor and furnishings with Bermudan styling, and are laid out in village style with attractive pink stucco frontages. All rooms have private patios or balconies and come with mini fridges, coffee makers and bathrobes, and you can opt for a room along the cliffs or by the swimming pool.
What to Do
There's nothing to stop you lazing on the beach or by the infinity pool which overlooks the ocean, but there are also plenty of activities available to keep you occupied. There are two tennis courts with balls and racquets available, a rooftop putting green and, if you fancy some fun in the sea, there are stand-up paddle boards, snorkelling gear and kayaks for the use of guests. If you're looking for pampering, then the onsite La Serena Spa, with its eight treatment rooms, is just the place for you. It offers massages, reiki, reflexology and aromatherapy as well as a selection of exclusive beauty treatments including facials and body wraps.
The Food of Love
Open for lunch and dinner, as well as snacks during the day, Coconuts is right on the beach and you can choose to dine in the restaurant or on the beach itself. The dinner menu includes local delicacies like seafood mariscada or grilled octopus with fennel confit and tomato chutney. Ocean Echo is set at the top of the limestone cliffs and offers fine dining and the option of eating al fresco on the terrace where you can enjoy dishes like sautéed duck breast, rosemary marinated swordfish or mixed seafood linguini.
