What to Do
The breathtaking natural beauty of Barra is the ultimate highlight of a stay at Bayview Lodge and carefree days on the beach, underwater adventures (scuba diving or snorkel trips) and explorations of the area are some of the ways you can expect to spend your time here. Recommended activities also include trips to Pansy Island (accessible at low tide only!), Barra Lighthouse, the northern tip of Barra peninsula and the markets in Tofo and Inhambane.
The Food of Love
Run by French husband and wife team – Joelle and Francois, The Green Turtle Pub and Restaurant is renowned for both its stunning beachfront location and its unique fusion menu of European, African and Asian influenced cuisines. For romantic couples private dining can be arranged, with meals enjoyed either at the restaurant or served inside your unit. The team can also put together a delicious picnic basket to be enjoyed on the beach or wherever your daily travels may take you. Many other little restaurants in the area too, within easy walking distance of the lodge. Self-catering is possible in our fully equipped kitchens in each house.
