Your Stay
Check into your own personal tree house with views of the magical tropical forest or Culebra Bay. All rooms feature an expansive rainforest shower that opens to your private terrace, immersing you in the surrounding natural beauty. The resort’s four distinctive restaurants, including the new Andaz Beach House, will each offer something special to contribute to a memorable romantic getaway. The relaxed vibe of the resort and our warm, engaging staff members will make you feel comfortable right away. During your stay, many romantic spots await your discovery. Don’t miss the adults-only pool or the untouched private beach, Playa Sombrero Claro.
What to Do
Costa Rica offers just the right mix of adventure and pampering. Daytime excursions may include visits to a volcano or a tropical forest, surf lessons or a canopy tour. Regardless of your fitness level or taste for adventure, we can recommend some activities that will create memories of a lifetime. At the resort, there is a full schedule of complimentary and fee-based activities offered daily: dance classes, yoga classes, barista classes, nature hikes and more. For a bit of relaxation, four pools, three beaches and Onda Spa will provide plenty of options on-site to rejuvenate. The recently opened Andaz Beach House will offer one additional location to help you enjoy a beautiful walk on the beach. Additionally, Andaz guests enjoy privileged access to the amenities of the Peninsula Papagayo community, including the Arnold Palmer Signature golf course, a marina, a tennis center and seven additional restaurants.
The Food of Love
The resort’s four interactive restaurants are infused with authentic Latin American culinary style. Chao Pescao, designed to feel like the typical Costa Rican neighborhood bar, offers live entertainment that may inspire some dancing, a shared plates menu concept with a not-to-be-missed mixology program. Rio Bhongo, overlooking the main pool and the bay, is the heart of the resort and operates like a culinary "paseo" or a farmer's market to encourage interaction among guests. Don't miss the barista bar to experience Costa Rica's coffee culture.
Ostra, the resort’s signature restaurant, is elegant, discreet and romantic, offering unbelievable ceviche and other seafood masterpieces. And of course, the resort staff is always ready to delight our guests celebrating special occasions with some romantic touches, either in one of our restaurants or in a special location within the resort.
The Andaz Beach House, open for lunch provides a casual local feel. The restaurant and beach activity venue is also a perfect setting for weddings and special events.
